Every professional listed on Found Arts is assessed against three criteria. Generic platforms list skills. We verify the combination that actually matters in the arts funding context.
Demonstrated professional ability in their practice area - writing, translation, accessibility, sensitivity review, or navigation.
Familiarity with Canadian arts funding structures, granting bodies, and the specific language and criteria of the sector.
Understanding of the barriers faced by artists with disabilities, from diverse language backgrounds, and from communities underserved by mainstream funding systems.
